Lifejackets
A good life-jacket is by far the most important item of equipment onboard. Boating can be highly unpredictable, making it essential to wear a life-jacket or buoyancy aid while on board. In the event of falling into the water, a life-jacket can be lifesaving, but only if it fits correctly, is fastened properly, and the wearer knows how to use it. There are three primary types of PFDs: buoyancy aids, immersion suits, and life jackets.
