PRACTICE MAKES PERFECTThese basic chart-work exercises cover plotting a course between two waypoints, estimating dead reckoning positions, identifying marks to take bearings and calculating an estimate time of arrival.Charts A and B, to be used, are extracts from the RYA Training Charts 3 and 4 respectively.For one exercise you will need to also take into consideration tidal set and drift to provide a course to steer and convert True bearings to Magnetic that the helmsman would have to follow.
